Pat retired from Computer Sciences Corporation after a 41-year career in both the public and private sectors in the Washington, DC area. Pat is a recognized leader in the federal IT community. He spent 32 years in the federal government, rose to the ranks of senior executive and was the CIO for three different agencies during his federal career. In nine years in the private sector, he was in senior leadership positions responsible for business units serving federal customers in the national security and law enforcement markets.  

He has been honored two times as one of the “Federal 100,” and in 2003 also received the prestigious Eagle Award presented to the one federal executive in the group to have had the single greatest impact on the federal IT community.  

He twice received the Presidential Rank Award of Meritorious Executive, among many other forms of recognition. He has been a popular speaker at federal IT events, has testified in Congressional hearings, and has appeared in numerous publications and broadcasts related to government technology issues.

Pat is: Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Homeland Security & Defense Business Council (HSDBC); a member of the Board of Directors of the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA); a member of the Board of Directors of the American Red Cross/Nat’l Capital Area; a member of the Partnership for Public Service’s CIO Sage program; 

Mr. Schambach has an undergraduate degree in Finance from Fairfield University and a Masters of Business Administration degree from George Washington University with an area of concentration in Information Systems Management. Pat and his wife have four children.

​Jim has thirty plus years of successful Federal Government experience designing, building, delivering and running outstanding critical and transformational programs, as well as acquisition operations in several government agencies.  He was responsible for delivering on enormous challenges, building successful multibillion dollar operations and teams, forming strategic partnerships and significantly turning around troubled organizations. 

Jim’s leadership skills and many accomplishments have been recognized through the receipt of numerous awards including:
